As the secret food critic for Hungry Canadian, I recently visited Xtreme Donair, a Lebanese Donair shop in Airdrie, Alberta. I was blown away by the restaurant's delicious Lebanese cuisine and innovative twists on classic Canadian dishes.

The service was exceptional, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who made great recommendations and served the food quickly. The restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting, with comfortable seating and tasteful decor. The outside of the building does not do this restaurant justice and should not persuade your choice to visit or not.

Now, onto the food itself. I tried the Donair Poutine. It was the perfect combination of flavors and textures. The fries were crispy and perfectly cooked, while the shredded cheese was fresh and stringy (Perfection!). The Donair meat was tender and flavorful, while the gravy was rich and savory. You cannot go to a Donair shop and not have a Donair. I tried the classic beef Donair, served hot and fresh with high-quality ingredients like lettuce, pickles, and pickled turnip, that shone through in every bite. I will say this Donair was the best I have had in a long time.
